Apache CrossFit is a gym at 669 Fischer Boulevard in Toms River. Joining any gym starts with a small decision: how do you try it before you commit? This article looks at how the gym's own website answers that question, and what the site leaves for you to ask.
This is a profile of one business, not a ranking. Everything below comes from apachecrossfit.com as we read it on October 26, 2026. The site does not list prices, class times or founding details, so this article does not either.
What the gym lists
The website's menu names five programs: CrossFit, Teen Athletic Performance, Nutrition, Personal Training and Sauna. A section titled "Why Apache CrossFit?" describes the gym as offering a diverse range of programs, and it names CrossFit, Nutrition and Teen Athletic Performance in that description.
The directory's listing adds that the coaches are on the floor to help with form and scaling. Scaling is the CrossFit term for adjusting a workout to fit your current ability, so it is a fair thing to ask about when you visit.
How the website says new people start
There are three entry points on the site, and they are different from each other:
- A free intro. The front page invites visitors to sign up for a free "no sweat" intro, and repeats the invitation further down the page.
- Drop-in. The header links to a drop-in page, and a second link is labeled for out-of-town drop-ins. The directory lists drop-in workouts as one of the gym's services.
- On-boarding. A section on who succeeds there says each new athlete completes on-boarding, where the gym teaches the fundamentals of everything it does.
The practical takeaway is that the website describes a path with a teaching step at the start, rather than dropping a beginner into a class cold. How long on-boarding takes, and what it covers session by session, is not stated on the page we read.
What the website does not say
Several things you would want to know are not on the front page. The menu links to a schedule page, but no class times appear in the content we read. A memberships item and a pricing link are in the menu, but no prices are shown. The teen program and the nutrition program are listed by name only, with no ages, formats or details.
That is not unusual for a small gym site, and it is not a mark against the business. It simply means a phone call or a visit is how you get specifics. The website says you can call or text the gym at (732) 607-5717.
Questions worth asking before the first class
- What does the free intro include, and how long is it?
- Is the intro a one-on-one session or part of a regular class?
- How many on-boarding sessions are there, and are they included in the membership?
- Which class times suit a beginner, and how many people are usually in a class?
- If you are bringing a teenager, what age range does the teen program accept, and when does it meet?
- How do membership holds and cancellations work? The site's footer links to hold and cancellation request forms, so the gym has a process, and it is worth reading before you sign.
If you have an injury or a health condition, mention it when you book. The website does not say how the gym handles it, so ask the coaches directly.

Know a gym we are missing?
