About
Gregory's combines a retail fish market with a dine-in restaurant at one Route 37 location in Manchester. The kitchen prepares dishes to order, and the market posts daily and weekend specials. Seating includes a patio during the summer months.
The business is run by Gregory and Michele, according to its website, and the market and dining room keep different hours: the retail counter opens at 9 a.m. and the restaurant at 11 a.m., and both close at 9 p.m. every day. The site states that its fish carries no chemicals or preservatives, that its tuna is not treated with bleach and that it does not sell water-added scallops.
Appetizers include clams casino and oreganata, scungilli marinara and fried calamari with a choice of sweet, medium or very hot sauce, pots of steamers, and Chesapeake clams topped with crabmeat. Soups range from Manhattan and New England clam chowder to she-crab soup, lobster bisque, oyster stew made to order and a shrimp, crab and corn chowder. Fish and chips and seafood sandwiches come with fries and coleslaw, with no substitutions.
Main courses can be fried or broiled and come with a cup of Manhattan clam chowder or a salad plus a side. Choices include stuffed flounder, tilapia piccata, Maryland crab cakes and several salmon preparations, such as blackened, herb-crusted and crabmeat-stuffed. Lobsters, king crab legs and snow crab clusters are sold at market price depending on availability, and a 'Guppy' children's menu offers pasta, grilled cheese or chicken tenders with a drink and chocolate pudding. The menu notes a $2 plate-sharing charge and that prices can change with availability.
Gift cards are sold only at the counter. To join the email list for event notices, customers send an email with 'Rock lobster' as the subject line.
