About
Sammy's Pizzeria & Italian Grille serves pizza, calzones, pasta, baked dishes, subs, wings and seafood dinners from its Route 9 location. Customers can order ahead for pickup, including curbside, or have food delivered. The restaurant also takes catering orders and posts rotating specials.
The pizza list is long. Alongside plain, white and margarita pies, there is a gluten-free cauliflower crust, a gourmet line that includes baked ziti, chicken bacon ranch, penne vodka and a Sammy's Special, and even a waffle fries pizza. Square pies cover Brooklyn-style and focaccia Sicilian, several deep dish versions, and grandma-style options such as the grilled veggie, the grandpa with vodka sauce and a three-layer upside-down thin crust. A plain pie is listed at $14.95 and the gourmet pies at $23.95.
Away from pizza, the menu has sweet, white and hot mussels, fried ravioli and calamari, salads such as avocado walnut, caprese and antipasto, and baked dishes including cavatelli with broccoli, stuffed rigatoni in vodka sauce, lasagna and manicotti. Chicken and veal come francese, piccata, marsala, murphy or pizzaiola, the seafood combo is served fra diavolo, and burgers, paninis and wraps arrive with fries. Desserts include cannoli, tiramisu and zeppoles.
Orders go through the Slice app, which the restaurant says it prefers, for delivery, pickup or ordering ahead, and curbside pickup works by placing an order and pulling up. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted. A Monday special lists a large pizza at $13.95, and game-day bundles pair pies with wings, garlic knots or subs. Catering is offered by the tray across appetizers, pastas, baked dishes, chicken, veal and seafood, and a hot catering package is listed at $239.25 for three dishes and two sides with bread.
