Ocean County has plenty of shops that do one thing in particular: sell trading cards, rent bikes, press-and-pack records, or stock balloons by the dozen. This guide covers six of them from the directory, in a few different towns.
We are not ranking them. For each shop we note what its own website says it offers, plus the hours the directory lists where there are any. Call ahead before you go.

The Back Stop is a collectibles store at 3400 NJ-37 in Toms River. The directory lists sports cards, non-sports cards, memorabilia, toys, coins and comic books among the things it buys and sells.
Its website also mentions paid appraisals, and the directory lists buying collections as a service. No hours are listed, so call (732) 506-9311 before making the trip.
Party Fair, Toms River

Before you go
A few of these shops buy as well as sell, and a few rent. Others, like the two on Long Beach Island, may keep different hours as the season changes, so a quick call saves a wasted trip.
